Make Your Own Picture Book
On Sunday, April 29, 2pm you can make your own picture book using your own photos, illustrations, and online tools. Children's librarian Meghan Villhauer will show you how to create the perfect story and assemble it online, engaging your child or grandchild. Please note: this program is for adults, but teenagers 16 and up are permitted to attend.

Ancient Greeks/Modern Lives: A National Conversation with New York acting troupe from the Aquila Theatre will be at the library on Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. They will present a staged reading of scenes from Greek drama, including selections from Homerβs Odyssey, Aeschylusβ Agamemnon, Sophoclesβ Ajax and Euripidesβ Herakles. The performance will be followed by a Town Hall style discussion with Ohio State University classics professor Tom Hawkins. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library. Aquila actors will also hold a workshop on staging classical plays at 6 p.m. which is open to a limited number of adults at no charge. Registration is required for the acting workshop and requested for the staged reading.

Healthy U workshops
If you or someone you know is dealing with a chronic condition, this six week program will help. Bring your loved ones to learn more about symptoms, self-management, medicines, nutrition and exercise. Attend all six sessions on Thursdays, from May 3 through June 7. Each session is from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. The Healthy U program is co-sponsored by the Administration on Aging, the Area Agency on Aging, and Mature Services. Volunteers Needed:
Do you have a few hours each week that you would like to help out at the library? We have the following positions available.
Saturday afternoons- Shelving our audio visual material that has been returned. Accuracy in alphabetizing is very important. This is usually a 2 hour time commitment.
Substitute homebound delivery person- This is an as needed position whenever our regular volunteers are not able to deliver material to our homebound patrons. A background check is necessary.
