Twinsburg Business Hosting Food Drive for Seniors in Summit County

One Twinsburg business is doing its part to bring some Christmas cheer to seniors in the community this holiday.
, located at 9241 Ravenna Road is partnering with Covenant Medical Equipment & Supplies to host a food drive to provide food for residents of several low-income senior housing complexes throughout Summit County, according to a press release.
The company is accepting donations through Wednesday, Dec. 21, and people can drop off food at the main office in Suite C-10. FirstLight and Covenant Medical employees will deliver the food on Dec. 22.

FirstLight offers in-home care to the elderly, new mothers, and those who are recovering from injuries and surgery.
“It’s astonishing to learn how many seniors in our community go without essentials like food,” Kent Craig, FirstLight' owner, said in a press release. “The holidays offer an ideal opportunity for people to join in the spirit of giving and make a contribution to their community and we wanted to offer an outlet for them to do so.”

Donations for the food drive can include any non-perishable food items such as boxed foods (macaroni and cheese, pizza mixes, pastas, crackers, etc.), canned goods (canned meats, soups, pasta, vegetables, fruits, etc.) and snacks such as pudding and chips.
