2010 U.S Census Figures For Westlake Released Today
Figures show that population is growing and diversifying.
The 2010 U.S. Census figures were released for the city of Westlake today, showing that despite a county-wide population drop of 113,856, over 1,000 new residents have moved into the city in the last 10 years.
A comparison of the 2010 and 2000 census data, as seen in the two boxes below, shows that while the number of residents identifying themselves as white has remained stable, the city is becoming more diverse. The community's Hispanic population has more than doubled and there are 267 more Asian residents as well as over 200 more African American or black people now living in Westlake.
