Break-In At Westlake Gas Station: Door Shattered, Cigs Stolen
Someone shattered a BP gas station's front door and stole numerous cartons of cigarettes.
WESTLAKE, OH โ Someone smashed the front door of a gas station on Columbia Road and stole several cartons of cigarettes, Westlake police announced.
The break-in happened at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. An alarm was ringing at the gas station when police arrived. The front door was shattered, but no one was inside the store, police said.
The owner was contacted by police and he immediately noticed that numerous cartons of cigarettes had been stolen.

As officers gathered evidence and investigated the break-in, they learned that a garbage bag full of stolen merchandise was found near Sperry Drive.

The investigation into the break-in is still active, a Westlake police spokesperson said.
