Drunken Driver Hits Car, Flees In Westlake: Police
A driver hit a car on Center Ridge Road and then drove home, police said.
WESTLAKE, OH โ A drunken driver hit a car and then drove away on Wednesday in Westlake, police announced.
At 7:15 p.m., a Westlake resident called 911 after seeing a car hit another vehicle at Center Ridge and Columbia roads. The caller followed the fleeing car and was able to give police a description of its license plate.
Officers were able to locate the man's house and found him in his driveway in Bay Village. According to police, the driver was a 37-year-old man who looked very intoxicated.

Officers ran the 37-year-old through field tests and then gave him a breath test. He was 3.5 times over the legal limit, police said.

The man was cited for operating a vehicle impaired and failing to stop at a red light.
Luckily, police said, no one was hurt in the Center Ridge Road crash.
