
It may be a bit cool for swimming early this week, but Peterson Pool in is open and ready for the warmer weather this weekend.
The pool opened on Saturday and will be open until August 26.
Pool hours are from 1 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends through August 3. Adult lap swims will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on weekdays and 10:30 to 11 a.m. on weekends.

From August 4 through 26, pool hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Adult lap swim time is from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on weekdays and 10:30 to 11 a.m. on weekends.
Season passes for Westlake residents are $90 for the first family member, $37 for each additional member and $5 for children 3 and under. All current members of the receive a 20-percent discount on season passes.

Afteroon single-day rates for Westlake residents are $6.75 for adults and youths over 13, $6 for children ages 7 through 12, $2 for children ages 4 through 6 (with a paying adult), and free for senior citizens and children under age 3.
Evening (after 5 p.m.) single-day rates for Westlake residents areย $4 for adults and youths over 13, $3.50 for children ages 7 through 12, $1 for children ages 4 through 6 (with a paying adult), and free for senior citizens and children under age 3.
Some pool rules:
- Season passes are not transferable.
- Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The pool will not open if the temperature at opening time is below 68 degrees. Pool management decides whether to close the pool if there is bad weather or the temperature falls below 68 degrees. Refunds and rain checks will not be given if the pool closes because of weather.
- Food, drinks and coolers are not allowed in the pool area with a permit, which is $5 per family. They can be checked for free at the front desk and then be taken outside to the park for eating.
