Lost Vape Pen Leads To Accident, Downed Power Lines In Westlake
A driver dropped their vape pen, reached to pick it up and lost control of their car, police said.

WESTLAKE, OH โ A car hit a utility pole on Cahoon Road last week in Westlake.
At 8 a.m. on Sept. 19, police received reports of a car accident on Cahoon. When they arrived, power lines were strewn across the ground and a car had clearly hit a utility pole.
The driver, a 23-year-old said they dropped their vape pen and then tried to pick it up, losing control of the car in the process, police said.

Luckily, the 23-year-old was not badly hurt in the accident, police said.

Part of Cahoon Road was closed while crews cleaned the accident and dealt with the downed power lines.
The driver was cited with failure to control their motor vehicle, police said.
