Westlake Schools Earn Highest Possible Grade on State Report Card

District earns "Excellent with Distinction," Meets AYP

Westlake Schools are once again โ€œExcellent.โ€ ย 

For the 13th straight year, the District has earned an โ€œExcellentโ€ rating from the Ohio Department of Education. And for the second straight year, it has received the โ€œwith Distinctionโ€ honor, the highest rating a district can receive. The state finalized ratings after a statewide review.

The district also met the โ€œvalue addedโ€ component of Adequate Yearly Progress requirements (AYP), which measures how effective the district is with certain subgroups.

To meet an indicator, the district must meet a minimal 75 percent.

The district had an all-grade attendance rate of 95.5 percent and a four-year graduation rate of 92.7.
