SELMA, OR — An Ohio man living in Grants Pass was seriously injured in a fatal two-car crash near Selma, Oregon, in Josephine County that killed a 69-year-old Cave Junction woman Tuesday night.
Deborah J. Newell was reportedly traveling south on Highway 199 toward Cave Junction in her red Toyota Prius just before 7 p.m. Feb. 20 when she collided head-on with a white GMC Safari driven by 20-year-old Ridgeville, Ohio, native Robert A. Jakovic.
Investigators determined the drivers were too near the center line as they both went around a curve near mile post 24.5, roughly halfway between Kerby and Selma.
