FBI Arrests Washington Man In Oregon Assault Case
Almonzo Castaneda allegedly assaulted an Oregon woman on a Umatilla County Indian reservation multiple times between January and February.

YAKIMA, WA — A Washington man accused of sexually abusing and assaulting an Oregon woman on a tribal reservation in Umatilla County was arrested by FBI agents at his home in Yakima Tuesday.
Almonzo Antonio Castaneda, 34, is currently in the Yakima County Jail on a U.S. Marshal hold until he can be extradited back to an Oregon district court, where he'll face charges for sex abuse, assault of a spouse or intimate partner by strangulation, and assault by striking, beating, or wounding.
The crimes for which Castaneda is accused reportedly occurred on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation between January and February. He'll face his detention hearing Friday.
