If you enjoy singing and dancing, you’ll love performing in our Olios at the Sawdust Theatre next summer. Olios are the song-and-dance routines we perform between scenes of the annual melodrama. The dancers always start with a crowd favorite, the Can-Can, but because each melodrama has several scenes, each performance provides ample opportunities for the olios to strut their stuff, which they do on stage while the backstage crew prepares behind the curtain for the next scene of the play. These fun-loving performers always involve willing participants from the audience in a couple of numbers during every show. Being involved in the olios is a great way to exhibit your talent.
