The Multnomah Grange #71 kicks off the New Year with an exciting live bluegrass concert on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 7pm.
The Filthy Skillets, a Portland based bluegrass band known for their lively performances, fills the hall with a dynamic blend of traditional and modern string band sounds. The group features Josh Levine on mandolin, John Montgomery on guitar, Brendon Haggarty on fiddle, Steve Hathaway on banjo, and Nick Marcantonio on upright bass.
Sweet Fern is a traditionally inspired, vocally driven bluegrass band with a Pacific Northwest feel who play a blend of originals and timeless standards. The performers are Hannah Dondy-Kaplan on banjo, Sarah Lamb Christensen on bass, Linda Scherba on mandolin, and Dennis Christensen on guitar. Also joining them for this performance is Gary Schuh on fiddle.
The Multnomah Grange’s second Saturday concert series also hosts an open bluegrass jam in the Grange lobby when the doors open at 6pm.
The snack bar sells hot dogs, chili dogs, delicious desserts, popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks.
Suggested donations: $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. Cash only.
