Elderly Gresham Man Shot In The Back, Then Drives Himself Home

Gresham Police want to know who shot an older man in the back as he drove on Monday night.

GRESHAM, OR — An elderly man driving home Monday night was shot by someone who fired several bullets into his car, according to Gresham Police. The man then kept driving home where he called police.

Police said they discovered several bullet holes in the man's car and determined that he'd been hit in the back by one of the shots.

He was taken to a nearby hospital. Police have not given information on his condition.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Northwest Burnside by Northwest Civic Drive, police said.

According to police the man was unable to give a detailed description of his attacker other than to say the person pulled up next to him in a gold, tan or brown SUV and opened fire.
