Mt. Hood Conditions 'Very Dangerous,' Avalanche Danger Remains
The Northwest Avalanche Center says that conditions on Mt. Hood have not improved and people should remain cautious.

GRESHAM, OR —On Sunday, the Northwest Avalanche Center warned of avalanche conditions being in effect for Mt. Hood. On Monday, they warned that only will those conditions continue, things are going to get worse.
"Continued snow and wind will maintain very dangerous avalanche conditions Tuesday," they said in an advisory.
"Avoid avalanche terrain at upper elevations and don't linger in large runouts. Conditions will likely worsen Tuesday afternoon and night at lower elevations as a new storm with rising snow levels impacts the area."

Ski Bowl, Mt. Hood Meadows, and Timberline all closed for the day or part of the day Monday. The same could be the case on Tuesday.
