Touchstone Preschool Students Donate 140 Books to Local Park District

Students held a donation drive to collect books for the local park and recreation district

Students at Touchstone Preschool in Hillsboro recently held a book drive to benefit Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, which provides high-quality park and recreation facilities, programs, services and natural areas to local community members. Students collected more than 140 books, which will benefit children who attend various programs offered by the park district.

Touchstone Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
