Lake Oswego City Council Race: Five Chances To Meet Candidates

The election is less than two months away. There are five organized forums with all eight candidates expected to attend.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – Five forums have been organized to give the residents of Lake Oswego a chance to meet the people running for city council. And with eight candidates on the ballot, you just might need all five opportunities.

With three seats up for grabs – only one of which has an incumbent, Jackie Manz, seeking reelection it's a wide-open field.

The candidates are: Randy Arthur, Emma Burke, Hanna Crumme, Jackie Manz, Donald Mattersdorff, Massene Mboup, Daniel Nguyen, and John Wendland. Get all the latest information on what's happening in your community by signing up for Patch's newsletters and breaking news alerts.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 18 – The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce gets things going with a two-hour breakfast forum starting at 7:40 a.m.. It will be held at the Oswego Lake Country Clu and is $25 for members of the chamber and $35 for non-members;

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 – This three-hour forum begins at 2:30 in the afternoon and is being held at the Foothills Condos Meeting Room. It's sponsored by the Clackamas County Democrats and will include candidates running for other offices as well;

MONDAY OCTOBER 1 – The Forest Hills Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a two-hour chances to "Speed Date the Candidates" at the Adult Community Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.;

MONDAY OCTOBER 8 – A two-hour event starting at 6:30 p.m. held at the Lake Oswego Church of Christ and co-sponsored by the community groups, Respond to Racism and LO for LOve; and

THURSDAY OCTOBER 18 – The Lake Oswego Review is hosting an event with the candidates that starts at 6:30 p.m. and is being held at the Lakewood Center for Arts Community Room.

The most important thing is to remember to vote.
