Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to an apartment at 13170 S.E. 162nd Ave. just before 10:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Initially reported as a 911 hang-up, dispatchers upgraded the call to a domestic disturbance shortly after, sheriff's officials said.
When deputies arrived at the apartment, they reportedly found the victim was already dead after sustaining multiple stab wounds. Fountain, who was apparently the only other person at the scene, was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment of minor, unspecified injuries before he was taken to jail.
