OREGON CITY, OR — It's a very big day for the Oregon State Beavers men's soccer team. Tonight they take the pitch against Washington. While the Beavers are guaranteed a piece of the Pac-12 title, winning or tieing means that the title will be their's alone.

It will also be the first game for the Beavers since they were named number one in the country by the United States Soccer Coaches.

It's not a bad way to go into their last game of the season.

Since the Beavers are guaranteed a piece of the title, it's worth noting that it's their first Pac-12 (or even Pac-10) title. Having the title on their own means that it would very likely be one of the top four seeds in the NCAA tournament.

Those seeds are announced next week and a big week could be well on its way to becoming a really big month for Oregon State.

The Beavers are 12-2-2 and 7-1-1.

They guaranteed themselves a share of the Pac-12 title with their win last Thursday against San Diego State, a 1-0 shutout and their eighth of the season.

Oregon State played the 14-1-1 Huskies last month in Seattle. The Beavers handed them their only loss of the season.
