Clackamas Deputy Shoots, Kills Man, Incident Closes 205 For Hours

OREGON CITY, OR —A man is dead after leading deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office on a pursuit that took him to the Market Street exit of I-205 in Portland. Officials say that it was there that the man crashed his car and fled.

After crawling out of the overturned car, the man then ran into oncoming traffic and was shot by the deputy.

The interstate was closed in both directions for almost six hours.

Portland Police are handling the investigation. No information has been released about the suspect, what led to the chase.

No one but the person who was killed was injured.
