Clackamas Man Convicted In U.S. Court After Robbing Lighthouse Pub

PORTLAND, OR — A Clackamas man faces up to 10 years in prison on his conviction of charges in connection with the theft of five cartons of cigarettes in a pub robbery.

Dustin Lee Henderson, 40, was convicted in a trial Thursday in U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon of interfering with commerce with threats or violence; possessing a firearm in furtherance of, and using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to, a crime of violence; and illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

He faces a prison sentence of at least 10 years, five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

A sentencing date has not yet been set. Henderson remains in custody.

The conviction comes in connection with a November 2019 robbery at the Lighthouse Pub, a deli and public house on 82nd Avenue in Clackamas.

Henderson was accused of handing the person behind the counter a bag, demanding five cartons of cigarettes and running away, prosecutors said.

The incident was captured on videotape that prosecutors showed a jury in Henderson's trial.

After Henderson left the Lighthouse, the owner chased him through the parking lot but stopped after Henderson fired a gun in his direction, prosecutors said. The owner was not identified.

A .22 caliber shell was recovered from the scene, prosecutors said.

Henderson was tracked to a nearby mobile home where he was arrested, according to court documents.

Officers searched the mobile home and found cigarette cartons, clothes that Henderson was wearing and the gun used in the robbery, according to prosecutors.
