Gervais Man Killed In Oregon City Crash On Saturday Night
Daniel Lucero reportedly went through a red light on his motorcycle and collided head-on with a van. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
OREGON CITY, OR —A Gervais man was killed Saturday night when the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle in Oregon City, according to KPTV.
Daniel Lucero, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at about 7:45 p.m. on Highway 99E, Oregon State Police said.
According police accounts, Lucero's motorcycle was heading southbound on Highway 99E, near Dunes Road, when it ran a red light and hit a van nearly head-on.

The Statesman Journal reported the other vehicle was a Chevrolet van driven by a Medford man. The newspaper did not report the man's name or if he was injured in the crash.
The highway was closed for over three hours while the OSP investigated the incident.
