Hours-Long Crime Spree In West Linn Ends With Arrest

The crime spree reportedly targeted the West Linn Historical Society, among other victims.

OREGON CITY, OR -- A man was arrested recently after an hours-long crime spree that targeted multiple victims including the West Linn Historical Society, police said. Police said the incident began at 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 23 when a Mini Cooper was stolen on Skyline Circle.

Officers who investigated the incident found 33-year-old Roger Shane Womack inside an abandoned fire station with multiple stolen items in hand, police said.

Womack was allegedly wearing stolen overalls, and had a stolen suitcase, tools and costume jewelry reportedly taken from three separate break-ins. The Mini Cooper was also found in the vicinity where Womack was located, police said.

Womack, who allegedly damaged a police car after he was arrested, was detained and transported to West Linn Police Station.

Womack was charged on multiple counts including burglary, criminal trespass and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, among other charges.
