It Started With Town Center Theft And Ended 3 Carjackings Later
A Portland man faces more than a dozen charges including attempted murder, robbery, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, and assault.
OREGON CITY, OR — The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that a Portland man is charged is with more than a dozen charges including robbery, attempted murder, and assault after a spree that included stealing from the Macy's at Town Center and three separate carjackings.
Gary Lamar Johnson is being held on $510,000 bail.
It started around 5 p.m. on Monday. Deputies say that Johnson stole things from Macy's, went into the parking lot, fired a gun at a man in a SUV. the man was treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital. He's expected to survive.

A little while later, Johnson ditched the SUV by I-205 and Highway 224 and stole a sedan, forcing a man out of the car, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials say that Johnson then went to the Self Storage at 5965 SE Harmony road in Milwaukee.

They say that he went up to a woman in a car and fired his gun at her and at another woman before fleeing. The first woman suffered serious injuries. Both are expected to be okay.
By this point, deputies had caught up and were able to arrest him.
