Milwaukie Man Killed In Sunday Car Crash, State Police Say
19-year-old Jesus Ramirez-Cortes was killed when his westbound Audi collided with an eastbound Jeep on Highway 26 April 8.
MILWAUKIE, OR — A 19-year-old Milwaukie resident was killed Sunday when he crashed his car head-on into another driver on Highway 26 near David Douglas County Park.
Jesus M. Ramirez-Cortes was reportedly driving his 2006 Audi west toward the coast when he lost control, entered the eastbound lanes, and struck the 2009 Jeep Cherokee driven by 63-year-old Vancouver, Washington, resident Sylvia L. Kearns around 9 a.m. April 8.
Oregon State Police did not specify the severity of Kearns' injuries, or whether she sustained any at all.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing safety belts at the time of the crash, though police are investigating alcohol as a contributing factor.
