Motorcyclist Killed In Rear-End Crash With SUV: Police
The driver of the SUV was reportedly arrested for failing to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person.

HAPPY VALLEY, OR — A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening when he drove his bike into the rear of a stalled car on Highway 212, south of Happy Valley.
West Plains, Missouri, resident Uriy Yevgenyevi Dudko, 20, was arrested after the crash for failing to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person. His is lodged at Clackamas County Jail on $10,000 bail.

According to Oregon State Police officials, Mitchell Vandoren of Milwaukie was traveling east on Highway 212 on his red and black Honda B6S motorcycle just before 5 p.m. April 22 when he smashed into the rear of a stalled silver Kia Rio near Southeast 130th Avenue.

Vandoren did not survive the impact.

The only occupant in the Kia Rio at the time, Dudko reportedly got out and checked the damage before getting back into his car and driving south onto Southeast 130th Avenue.

Dudko reportedly drove a short distance south before stopping and again checking the damage from the crash.
After driving away again, Dudko was reportedly stopped by a Happy Valley police officer and arrested.
State investigators are reportedly checking the rate of speed at which Vandoren was traveling prior to the collision as a contributing factor to the crash.
