One Shot, One Tased In Beavercreek Boyfriend Battle

Helen Dandrea is on the run after tasing her ex-boyfriend and seeing her new boyfriend shot in an altercation in Beavercreek Sunday.

BEAVERCREEK, OR — One man was a shot and another man was tased during an altercation in Beavercreek on Sunday, and now Clackamas County law enforcement is searching for the woman at the center of it all.

Helen Denise Dandrea, 40, for reasons that are not entirely clear at this time, took her new boyfriend when she visited the home of her ex-boyfriend in the 21000-block of South Upper Highland Road before noon on May 13.

Why Dandrea went to her ex's house is also unclear. But while there, Dandrea and her new boyfriend, 34-year-old Gresham resident Joseph Scott Mendoza, got into some kind of altercation with the ex, which culminated during a struggle with a firearm that went off, injuring Mendoza.

At some point during the altercation between the ex and Mendoza, Dandrea also shot her ex with a taser before fleeing the area in her ex's car — a 1996 brown Buick Regal, with Oregon license plate "VDW 350."

Mendoza required LifeFlight to hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound he sustained; the ex was taken to hospital for evaluation of the taser injury.

Dandrea, however, remains on the loose, sheriff's officials said, noting that she should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Dandrea or the brown Buick Regal is encouraged to call 911 immediately. Anyone with non-emergency information can call the sheriff's tip line at 503-723-4949, or submit an anonymous tip online.
