Oregon 2022 Congressional Primary Results: Hoyle Winning, Schrader Not
Oregon City's Kurt Schrader was losing to challenger Jamie McLeod-Skinner with 40 percent of the vote counted.

OREGON CITY, OR — Kurt Schrader may be on his way out. The longtime self-described "moderate Democrat" was losing in his primary race to challenger Jamie McLeod-Skinner.
With nearly 45 percent of the vote counted, Schrader had about 40 percent of the vote compared to McLeod-Skinner's 59 percent of the vote.
Schrader had engendered a lot of animus from other members of the party by taking increasingly conservative stands on issues important to the party. Most recently, he was the only Democrat in the House of Representatives to vote against an aid package. He said the reason was that he couldn't support a proposed raise in the minimum wage.
