  1. The Salem Police Department is investigating after a 21-year-old man was found dead on Saturday morning, Jun. 17, on Chemawa Road Northeast at the north edge of Salem. The man has been identified as Michael Scott Campos-Kegley, but no other information has been released as of Jun. 18. Police are “working all available leads” and ask anyone with information about the incident to call the Salem Police Tips Line at 503-588-8477. (KPTV)
  2. The Oregon Department of Transportation has acknowledged an international data breach which might have given hackers access to personal information of 3.5 million Oregonians through driver’s licenses and state identification cards. Reportedly, the hackers gained access through a vulnerability in MOVEit, a file transfer program that the Department of Transportation used. According to the press release, the personal information has been compromised, and anyone who has an active Oregon ID or driver’s license should assume their information is part of the breach. The press released suggested all residents monitor their credit reports and check for transactions or accounts they do not recognize. (Salem Reporter)
