Wilsonville wants to know what you think about Aurora Airport, Are they good neighbors? Could they be better?

WILSONVILLE, OR — Aurora State Airport, the fourth largest in Oregon, may be right outside of Wilsonville but the city's comprehensive plan does not address its impact on the city. Wilsonville is changing that.
The city is hosting meetings this week and has posted a survey online.
Wilsonville officials say that they will use the feedback from the survey to set priorities about the airport while updating the comprehensive plan.

- Clarifying how the existing airport impacts the community, including mapping of the impact area;
- Recognizing the economic benefits that the airport has on the region; and
- Ensuring that the City has a voice in future expansion and operations at the airport as an affected party.
Wilsonville says that their decision to update the comprehensive plan is based on a recent decision by the Oregon Department of Aviation to start a master plan process for the airpot. Officials say that without by adding the airport to their comprehensive plan, they will have a better seat at the table.
