2 Upcoming Abington Twp Restaurants Highlighted By Philly Inquirer

Two new restaurants are set to open this fall in Abington and Glenside, and the Philadelphia Inquirer is highlighting the upcoming spot.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two restaurants expected to open this fall in Abington Township were highlighted by the Philadelphia Inquirer recently.

Inquirer food writer Michael Klein drummed up a list of 60 new restaurants in and around Philly slated to open this autumn.

Among them are one in Abington and one in Glenside.

In Abington, Nifty Fifty's is expected to open in the fall, according to Klein.

The regional chain offer's classic American fare, such as burgers and shakes, with a 1950s aesthetic.

This new location will be at 1140 Old York Road in Abington.

And over in Glenside, The Highland Glenside is eyeing a fall opening.

According to Klein, The Highland, fittingly located at 391 Highland Ave. where Bernie's Pub was situated, will be led by Dan Katz of West Avenue Grill and Pizza Wheel.

The Highland Glenside will be a bar-restaurant with live music, per Klein.
