Abington Boys Take 1st In Two Penn Relays Races
Abington High speedsters Luke Coleman, Keith Axten, Jamir McClinton, and Tyler Abraham won Suburban National and Philly Area races.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Four sprinters from Abington High School earned first place in two relay races at the historic Penn Relays this weekend.
The foursome of Luke Coleman, Keith Axten, Jamir McClinton, and Tyler Abraham competed in the 4x400 relay race at the track and field event this weekend.
These speedsters managed to earn first place in two iterations of the relay.

In the Philadelphia Area High School Boys 4x400, the four earned first place with a time of 3:19.45, beating out a Pennsauken, New Jersey team by almost two seconds.
But the day before, Coleman, Axten, McClinton, and Abraham also took home the gold in the Suburban National High School Boys 4x400.

In that race, they pulled out a 3:18.44.
The team beat out Central Bucks' team, which came in second with 3:20.45.
Other Abington runners' results include Axten, McClinton, Evan Dias, Richard Wesh in the high school boys 4x100, earning 64th place with a time of 44.35; Hannah Winters, Sydney Smith, Rose Coyle, and Ella Swanljung coming in 13th place with a time of 51.17 in the same race but for girls; and Coyle, Smith, Dianna Coyle, and Swanljung finishing eighth with a time of 4:17.92 in the Suburban National 4x400.
