Abington Nifty Fifty's To Open Monday, Soft Opening Saturday: Report

ABINGTON, PA — Hungry Abington-area residents who want a classic burger and shake will soon have a new, go-to option, as Nifty Fifty's new Abington location is opening soon.

The new restaurant, located at 1140 Old York Road in Abington, will have a soft opening for family and friends Saturday, according to Glenside Local.

Then on Monday, a grand opening will officially bring the throwback chain to Abington, the outlet reports.

Nifty Fifty's offers 50s style fare, including burgers, milkshakes, fries, and dozens of soda flavors. All of these are offered in a setting that hearkens back to the 1950s, with neon lights, chrome finishes, and more.

The menu and hours for the new location have not been announced.

Philadelphia Inquirer food writer Michael Klein hyped up this new store relatively recently, including it in a list of 60 soon-to-come restaurants in the region.

This location will mark the seventh Nifty Fifty's to open.

Other outposts are in Warminster, Northeast Philadelphia, Newtown Square, South Philly, Ridley Township, Fishtown, and Turnersville, New Jersey.
