Officers later determined her driver’s license was suspended for a previous DUI, and her registration was also suspended.

Derrick failed a series of field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest, police said.

A search of her vehicle uncovered suspected marijuana and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia. Derrick refused to submit to a blood test and was released pending a criminal complaint filed with District Court.

Derrick was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked for DUI-related offenses, providing false identification to law enforcement, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
