Booze Seized From Glenside Bar Due To Expired Liquor License: Report

A popular Abington Township tavern closed after state authorities removed all alcohol from its premises due to an expired liquor license.

GLENSIDE, PA — Residents and visitors alike in Abington Township have one fewer places to get a cold one, as state authorities removed all alcohol from a popular establishment this week.

According to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, the Keswick Tavern's liquor license expired on April 30 this year.

The Philly Voice reports the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, which is an arm of the Pennsylvania State Police, removed 163 liters of liquor and 332 gallons of beer from the Glenside tavern on Tuesday.

Records show the lapsed license was issued on April 27, 2022.
