COVID, Flu Vaccine Clinic Coming To Abington Senior High Oct 6

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Abington School District is teaming up with Eric's Rx Shoppe to host a flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic next month.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be offered from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 in the Abington Senior High School cafeteria.

Influenza vaccines will be available for those three and older, and high dose vaccines will be available for those 65 and older.

Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will be available for those 12 and older. Additional Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will be offered for those 3 to 11 years old.

There is a limited supply of this vaccine, and the uninsured/underinsured program is not up and running.

Vaccines will not be available to those without insurance, and patients getting the vaccine could be subject to a copay or cost sharing.

The vaccine cost $130 per dose.

Pre-registration is highly recommended and can be done online here.

Those registering a minor for vaccinations should use the child's name, date of birth, and all other information when registering.

Anyone under 18 must have either a parent/guardian present or have the proper consent form printed and signed.

The insurance section of registration is not required, but completion is highly encouraged.

Registration will close on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
