ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Grocery Outlet is opening another location in Montgomery County.

The discount grocery store will fill space at 1441 Old York Road in Abington, in the former Rite Aid space within the Abington Shopping Center.

An opening date has been set for Thursday.

The discount grocery store offers savings of 40-70 percent on brand-name items, as well as staples like meat and produce.

Grocery Outlet has locations in Lansdale, and in Warminster, and Jamison in Bucks County.

Customers can expect bargain prices on organic produce, quality cheese, specialty meats, and natural, organic, and gluten-free products in a "NOSH" section. The store will also carry milk, meat, and eggs.

Based in Emeryville, CA, Grocery Outlet has more than 400 locations in California, Idaho, the Pacific Northwest and in the Mid-Atlantic, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland.

The store offers a full range of products, including fresh produce, meat, deli, and dairy, along with a wide assortment of natural and organic choices. It also carries health and beauty care, as well as seasonal items, the company says.
