Grocery Outlet Owners Expand In Philly Region
Jamie and John Niedrist opened the bargain grocer in Abington this past week. They also run the Warminster Grocery Outlet.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The owners of the new Grocery Outlet bargain discount grocer have a history with the franchise in the Philadelphia region.
Abington Grocery Outlet opened Thursday at 1441 Old York Road with a grand-opening celebration.
For Jamie and John Niedrist, the new independent owner operators, the grocery store marks the second one the couple owns. They also run the Warminster Grocery Outlet on County Line Road.

The couple brings over 65 years of combined retail and grocery experience.
"We're excited to offer extreme value in a clean, upbeat atmosphere where everyone — employees and shoppers alike — feels like part of our family," the couple said in a Facebook post.

The couple has been married for 15 years, spending over six years running the Warminster location while raising three kids —Steven, Laura, and Keera — who have worked at the location with their parents over that span.
The couple also focuses on community service, from partnering with local schools and food pantries to starting a nonprofit with their sisters-in-law.
