The Leapfrog Group issued its latest hospital safety grades, and Jefferson Abington Hospital has maintained its stellar safety grade.

ABINGTON, PA — Abington's eminent hospital has kept its health safety consistent for at least seven straight grading periods, according to a non-profit healthcare watchdog group.

The Leapfrog Group issued its newest health safety grades for hospitals around the nation.

And Jefferson Abington Hospital earned another "A" grade.

The facility has earned "A" grades since at least spring 2020.

The facility was ranked "better than average" in accidental tears and cuts, handwashing, adequate staffing, safe medication administration, and more.

However, Leapfrog said Jefferson Abington ranked "worse than average" for split open surgical wounds, death from serious treatable complications, hospital staff responsiveness, and more.
