Jefferson Abington Hospital Receives High Rankings Report Marks
The suburban Philadelphia healthcare institution was singled out by U.S. News & World Report.
ABINGTON, PA — A local healthcare institution is receiving some accolades after being named as a high-ranking hospital in the Philadelphia metro area.
Jefferson Abington Hospital was recently ranked seventh best hospital in the Philly region, and 13th best in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report in the publication’s 2021-22 ‘Best Hospitals’ ranking.

A Jefferson Abington news release says that for the 2021-22 rankings, U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly every hospital across the country, which total more than 4,500 facilities. The rankings, which are designed to inform folks on the best places to receive healthcare, have been going on for 32 years in a row.
The publication rated hospitals on 17 common procedures and conditions, according to the news release, and Jefferson Abington Hospital was rated as high performing in a variety of categories. The hospital was also rated high performing in the specialty category of diabetes and endocrinology.
