Measles Exposures Suspected At 2 Abington Healthcare Facilities
Philadelphia health officials said measles exposures may have happened at Holy Redeemer Pediatric Urgent Care and Jefferson Abington.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Health officials in Philadelphia are alerting the public to potential measles exposures at two Abington Township healthcare facilities.
According to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, measles exposures may have happened at Jefferson Abington Hospital's emergency department and at Holy Redeemer Pediatric Urgent Care Meadowbrook.
Officials said at Jefferson Abington, 1200 Old York Road, exposures were possible between 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 3.

As for Holy Redeemer, 1648 Huntingdon Pike in Meadowbrook, exposure was possible between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., also on Jan. 3.
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health reported two new confirmed cases of measles Monday.

This brings the total number of measles cases confirmed by city health officials to eight. Seven of those cases are in Philadelphia and one is not, officials said.
Anyone who is not vaccinated against measles is strongly encouraged to seek vaccinations.
