Mosquito Spraying To Deter West Nile Virus In Abington
The Montgomery County Department of Health will spray in Abington Township on Monday.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Montgomery County Department of Health has announced that mosquito spraying will take place Monday night in a section of the township under its West Nile Virus Mosquito Control Program.
County health officials said that mosquito spraying in the areas of Hillside Cemetery, Memorial Gardens, and Ardsley Burial Park will take place on Monday from 7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
The work is weather permitting. (An alternate date will be Thursday.)

The spraying will be done where sampling has shown mosquitoes that carry the West Nile Virus, officials said.
Areas within the highlighted sections of the map below will be sprayed.

Nearby residents should consider remaining indoors, closing windows, and turning off ventilation systems that draw in outside air for the duration of the spray plus 30 minutes after.
