New Giant Food Store Ready To Open In Jenkintown
The new supermarket will be the 22nd in Montgomery County when it opens shortly on Old York Road.

JENKINTOWN, PA —A new Giant Food Store is preparing to open in the borough.
The new 50,000-square-foot store is nearing its opening at the corner of Old York Road and Wyncote Road as part of a proposed redevelopment project.
The company said it will be its first store in Jenkintown.

Giant said the new supermarket continues the company's strategic growth in the Philadelphia region.
“With a decades-long history of serving Montgomery County, we are excited to bring Giant to Jenkintown,” said John Ruane, interim president of The GIANT Company. “The GIANT Company is looking forward to serving the families of Jenkintown by offering a simplified shopping experience, inspiring fresh ideas, and creating a healthier community, true to our purpose of connecting families for a better future.”

The new store will bring over 100 jobs to the local community.
An opening date has not been announced.
Giant has 21 supermarkets in Montgomery County and employs nearly 3,900 team members.
