New-Look Abington Board to Meet Tonight

Following a reorganizational meeting that saw the swearing-in of nine new commissioners, the Abington Board of Commissioners will meet tonight at 8 p.m.

Though the agenda is rather light, there is a proposed ordinance that would move the township's committee meetings and the full board meetings back by 30 minutes. 

According to the proposed ordinance, committee meetings would be moved from 7:30 to 7 p.m. and the full board meetings would start at 7:30 rather than 8 p.m. 

Should the ordinance pass, the changes would take effect in April.
