Police Warn Of Vehicles Targeted In Abington

Abington Police received reports of several vehicle break-ins overnight on Wednesday.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Police have reported a rash of vehicle break-ins overnight on Wednesday.

Police received several reports of vehicle thefts and vehicle break-ins in the 100-300 block of Old York Road and the area of Jenkintown Road and Washington Lane.

Abington Police said residents should call 911 immediately if they see any suspicious activity.

Police are also offering tips for residents to protect their vehicles:

  • Always keep your vehicle locked
  • Remove your keys from your vehicle
  • Remove valuables from your vehicle
  • Park your vehicle in view of your home
  • Park near security cameras and near motion-activated lights
  • Make sure your vehicle's alarm is set and working
  • Keep your vehicle's keys away from your home's entrance
  • Store remote key fobs
  • Report suspicious activity
