Protest Against President Trump To Be Held In Eastern Montco
The "Good Trouble Lives On" event on Thursday is being organized in honor of the spirit of civil rights icon John Lewis.

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Protests against President Trump's administration and recent policies, which critics say are violations of civil and human rights, will be held throughout the Philadelphia region on Thursday, including one in eastern Montgomery County.
It's part of a coordinated set of protests and gatherings nationwide coinciding with the date of the passing of Congressman John Lewis, an icon of the civil rights movement for decades. Lewis passed on July 17, 2020.
The protest takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1475 Old York Road in Abington Township.

The nationwide actions are being organized by a coalition of 140 organizations, including Indivisible, as a part of the Good Trouble Lives On movement.
A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
