Oil And Gas = Jobs And Growth: Two PA Leaders Make The Case For State's Energy Sector

The natural gas and oil industry in Pennsylvania supports 500,000 jobs across the state, with more than $40 billion in total payroll. As a result, oil and gas together contribute $78.3 billion to the PA economy.

Those facts are from Stephanie Catarino Wissman, Pennsylvania Executive Director for the American Petroleum Institute; and PA Chamber of Business and Industry’s Director of Government Affairs Kevin Sunday.

They discussed the entire energy economy and how it impacts private sector jobs with DVJournal’s managing editor Linda Stein. And they connect restrictions on energy production and infrastructure to higher bills for the average family.
