Pa. Health Dept.: 2,639 Hospitalized, 75 New Deaths Attributed To COVID-19
As of Tuesday, the statewide positivity rate remains at 8.8 percent and 72 percent of Pennsylvanians 18 or older were fully vaccinated.

An unspecified “technical issue” has delayed the reporting of new COVID-19 case counts in Pennsylvania by the Department of Health.

Due to the technical issue, the department did not report new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, but did provide updates on other COVID-19 statistics in Pennsylvania.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 2,639 people were hospitalized with the virus. Of those patients, 630 were in hospital intensive care units, and 367 were using a ventilator, according to data posted to the agency’s pandemic tracking website.

The department also confirmed 75 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths attributed to the virus to 31,530 since the start of the pandemic, state data showed.
