Top Winter Destinations For Families: These PA Towns Make The List

See which Pennsylvania towns were among the top 150 "underrated" places for families to take a winter vacation.

PENNSYLVANIA — Looking for a winter getaway close to home this December? Three Keystone State towns were rated among the top 150 "underrated" winter destinations for families by an online travel guide.

Family Destinations Guide surveyed 3,000 Americans to find out where they like to go for a family-friendly vacation in the winter - some snow-covered, like Buffalo, Wyoming; some sandy, like High Springs, Florida.

Respondents picked towns close to natural beauty — the Poconos and Pennsylvania's "Grand Canyon" among them — and also liked the historic charm of a Lancaster County city for a winter stroll.
