Trooper, Suspect Die After Mifflintown Shootout: Report
A second Pennsylvania State Police trooper was seriously wounded in an earlier exchange with the shooter, ABC 27 reported.
MIFFLINTOWN, PA — A Pennsylvania trooper was seriously injured in a confrontation with a suspect, and another trooper later fatally shot, along with a suspect, in a shootout, in Mifflintown Township on Saturday afternoon, state police told ABC 27.
An exchange with a man took place at around 12:45 p.m., resulting in one trooper being shot and seriously wounded, and then he was found after a search in the area of Swamp Road and Baumgardner Drive in Walker Township at around 3 p.m., according to the outlet.
When the troopers exchanged gunfire with the shooter, both a trooper and the shooter were shot dead, the outlet reported.

Police have not released the names of the troopers or the shooter.
The seriously wounded trooper was brought to an area hospital where both Gov. Josh Shapiro and state police Col. Christopher Paris visited, ABC 6 reported.
