Amazon Fresh Opens 3rd PA Store
The new supermarket opens on Street Road Thursday after a year or so of delays where Bensalem officials wondered if it would open at all.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The third Amazon Fresh store in Pennsylvania opens on Thursday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 8 a.m. Thursday at the new 42,000-square-foot grocery store at 1837 Street Rd. with music, samples, games, and the chance to win $500 toward groceries.
The first 100 customers in line will receive an Amazon.com gift card.

Attendees will also receive a free exclusive Bensalem tote while supplies last and can pick up a $5 off $25 coupon at the store.
The store —like others in Lower Bucks and nearby Montgomery County —was supposed to open in the space where Kmart once ruled on Street Road sometime last year.

At one point, Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo called the vacant store an "eyesore."
Amazon Fresh has stores in Warrington and another in Broomal. Stores are planned in Middletown Township and Willow Grove but no opening dates have been announced as of yet.
Amazon Fresh in Bensalem will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
The new Amazon Fresh store in Bensalem will feature the company's latest brick-and-mortar design unveiled last year in select Chicago and Southern California stores.
Customers can expect to find a wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce, and protein, as well as Amazon’s private label brands like Aplenty, Fresh Brand, and 365 by Whole Foods Market—all at great low prices.
Customers can take advantage of fast grocery delivery and pickup options, while also enjoying ways to make grocery shopping in-store more convenient, like the Amazon Dash Cart and Amazon One.
Customers will also find grab & go sandwiches, salads, wraps, and snack boxes to pick up for those busy weekends filled with family activities or stop in after work to grab take-and-bake pizzas, ready-to-heat burritos, and ready-made meals to simplify dinner plans.
